  • If the other woman had a gun, the shooter might not have had the guts to pull hers knowing the woman would return fire. It's really easy to act tough when you have the upper hand...not so easy when you realize you could be the one to die.

  • Really Wayne? First of all, I have very good friends who live in Kentucky and they are white...and they own guns. Second of all...what does a person's race have to do with any of this? People are wounded and one is dead. Keep your arrogant white supremacy attitude and comments to yourself.

  • If only the victim had a gun she could have protected herself. Maybe if she also had a gun the shooter wouldn't have had the guts to use hers for fear she may be shot herself. All these people need to quit trying to take away my right to bear arms and protect myself.

  • It will definitely be interesting to find out what really happened from the trial. Though we saw from the Casey Anthony trial that doesn't always happen.

  • "He ran." So it's obvious that by this point he has STOPPED following, and just as obvious that he has now lost sight of TM This statement makes my point. He did not need to find him again. He did not need to confront him again. There should have never been a confrontation after this point.

  • bob, I encourage you to listen to the 911 call yourself. It is clear that Zimmerman has lost sight of Martin and has no idea where he is. He laments that these "a$$holes" always get away. Once he's lost sight of Martin he has no business hunting him down again.

  • Zimmerman had a broken nose, two black eyes and other head injuries. Someone being beaten up to that extent had every reason to believe his life was being threatened and therefore had every right to shoot Martin under Florida law.
